I went on a two day trip to Armenia last week to attend a friend’s wedding and I wore this cobalt blue dress, which was the perfect dress for the occasion as the weather was still so hot. Hope you’re all having a great weekend!
The past few seasons we’ve been seeing a lot of the white-on-white trend and it’s a great way to steer away from the comfort of wearing black. I don’t usually purchase white pants or skirts – because hips – but I tried this white Oasis skirt in London and it didn’t look as bad as I thought it would. Remember to always try and experiment with different styles and colours but ultimately stick to what suits your body type and skin complexion regardless of current trends.
In the previous post I shared a #TBT style post for Boohoo recreating a look by using Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the city as an inspiration. In the first post it focused on her fun-loving and experimental side as for this second part I’m focusing on her more classic iconic fashion moments. Patricia Field is a genius for making the character seamlessly pull off so many different styles and even making the fashion in the show its own character.
I was asked by Boohoo to feature in their #TBT campaign and pick a style inspiration and recreate their look with items from the Boohoo online store. I immediately thought of Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw, who’s style became iconic thanks to the super stylist Patricia Field. Her style is relatable to a lot of us because with all the ups and downs that her character goes through, her style adapts and reflects it. I’ve decided to split the post into two parts; the first one is inspired by her fun and experimental spirit which gave us a lot of her memorable outfits throughout the series.
White was one of the key trends everyone was adopting for VAMFF this year. And for a good reason; white is fresh, crisp and it stands out without standing out too much and still remaining elegant. I wore this white faux leather skirt paired up with its matching crop top and a trench coat for the premiere runway 7, which was the last show I attended. I love picking earthy natural colours for autumn and pair them with a dark lipstick.
It’s no secret that Autumn is my favourite season. And although it’s been quite warm this week, I couldn’t wait to bring out my autumn/winter clothing out to play on the first night I attended fashion week. I kept the colours quite earthy and warm with the burned orange top, beige coat and faux leather skin coloured pencil skirt. Then when I was looking through my closet to decide on what purse to use I came across my Missoni clutch that I had found in Italy almost two years ago, and I thought it matched what I was wearing perfectly.
If you want a leather jacket that makes a statement then look no further. This Pelle D’arte leather jacket from Gusto and Elan boutique, on Brunswick Street, instantly changes an outfit and makes it stand out. I paired it with a pink cami to contrast the masculinity of the leather jacket and to bring out the studded details of the jacket, I accessorised it with this gorgeous Meena Song necklace.
