Paris was the last stop of my 6-week trip, which included twelve different cities, and I’m glad I got to end the trip in an incredible place. The first time I visited Paris, I was only there for two days on my way to Lyon to visit family so it was great to be there for much longer this time and truly take in what the city had to offer. I really loved just walking around the different areas surrounded by incredible architecture and cute cafes. And the fact that the weather was absolutely perfect, as it was first week of September and it was just starting to cool down, just made it that much better.
I had met up with my parents the week before in Lyon, where we were visiting family, and it was their first time in Paris so we embraced everything Paris had to offer to tourists. Notre Dame, Louvre, Sacré-Cœur, the Eiffel Tower, we covered all basis! We went up the Eiffel tower, which we had to dedicate the whole day to because of the long queue time. Although the view from above was absolutely incredible, if you’re short on time I recommend going up to Sacré-Cœur where you get some great views of the city infront of the Basilica. It’s also such a great little area with lots of cafes and restaurants along the hill when you get off the nearest metro station.
